Hear from our Co-founders and Co-CEOs

Vision

A world where women and youth have the power and resources they need to achieve meaningful, lasting community-driven change.

Mission

We partner with women- and youth-led organizations across Africa -- co-creating, resourcing and amplifying locally-led solutions that advance education, health, food security, and economic power.

Co-Founders'
Story

Andrea Bertone and Elise Young

Elise Young and Andrea Bertone met in 2014 at a coalition meeting on improving global development through the leadership of women and disenfranchised communities. It was sisterhood at first sight. They’ve worked closely together ever since across 3 organizations, 40 countries, and with hundreds of talented women and allies to do meaningful work that brings them joy. They now partner with the same powerful African women changemakers who have taught and inspired them for years to collectively spark change.
